Time to rebuild

The bald eagles have returned to Lake Natoma and are now working on restoring the nest they’ve used for the last four years! I made a quick visit to the nest site this morning and was lucky enough to get some photos of the two of them working together to arrange the sticks they’ve collected.

We went looking for deer along the American River bike trail in Rancho Cordova yesterday morning. Not surprisingly, we managed to spot more females than males; the bucks are especially camera shy.
