NOTE: I wrote this post two days ago, on August 24, but I couldn’t get it to publish on my phone. So here it is, a couple of days late. Today I visited the mall in San Francisco’s Japantown — and I could barely manage to drag myself away from the place! I’m really not much of a shopper and I don’t care about the latest trends or (most of) the cute toys, but I found myself wanting to take home one of everything. It’s all too easy to fill up your shopping basket at Daiso, because most of the items cost only $1.50, and nothing is more than $5. And then there’s the bookstore, Kinokuniya — but I’ll save that confession for later! Let’s just say I’m going to desperately miss the Japan Center Mall when I return home.
