Living wild and free

I noticed a new sign on the fence along the Lake Natoma bluffs this morning — a very touching memorial in a beautiful spot. I never got to know her, but I do remember seeing this lady many times, especially in 2019 when I was volunteering with the eagle docents of Friends of Lake Folsom and Natoma (FOLFAN). She clearly loved to sit and gaze out over the lake, taking in the town of Folsom below, with the foothills and far-off peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains beyond. RIP.
