This week, my final bunch of slides from the orphanage near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The building above appears to be a church and may have been located near the orphanage. You might not be able to make it out, but there’s a sign on the back of the big bus that says “God Squad.”
At the orphanage, located near Puerto Vallarta, everybody worked together to get the job done. These slides don’t have any written captions, but it’s clear to see the effort and cooperation it took just to complete a mundane chore like laundry. I really love how everybody is smiling as they work together.

I have three small boxes of slides with images from a trip — or maybe it was multiple trips — my dad took to an Mexican orphanage that our church was sponsoring. These pictures date from around 1976, and the first group of slides actually have short descriptions written on the frames which I’ve included here.
