St John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Folsom

The theme of Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Tombstones or Cemeteries.

Cemeteries can be the most peace and beautiful places.  They can also be quite creepy in the right lighting and weather.  For those who celebrate Halloween, don’t forget to go through your photos, you may have some nice creepy delights that fit this challenge too.

I took all these pictures at the original site of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, one of the oldest surviving buildings in Folsom. It was built in 1857, and is still used for special occasions by the diocese.
