On my way back from spending three days in Clear Lake last week, I couldn’t resist making a stop at the UC Davis Arboretum. I had never been there before, and it wasn’t too much out of my way; so even though I was tired and looking forward to getting home it wasn’t long before I was parking in a shady spot and heading for the trail with my camera.

I spent maybe an hour and a half and managed to get in a fair amount of walking (some of it backtracking after I took a wrong turn). It would have been nice to have more time, not to mention more energy, to explore properly — I’m sure I only saw a small fraction of the place. I’m hoping to go back one day and spend more time just exploring all there is to see.
