The Adventure Continues… FDR’s Boat

I always especially enjoy those episodes of Huell’s shows where he finds himself exploring historic airplanes, trains, or ships — so of course this visit to the USS Potomac was a must-see. This ship had quite a fascinating history even before, and especially beyond, its glory days as a presidential yacht. After being rescued from a sorrowful fate in the 1980s, the ship remains in service and is currently conducting its regular schedule of both cruises and dockside tours.

Huell takes an inspirational voyage upon Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Presidential Yacht, the U.S.S. Potomac. Now stationed at Jack London Square in Oakland, the ship is operated by a staff of volunteers and is now open for public tours.
