Throwback Thursday: Flowers of February

First today, a bit of housekeeping. Because of an odd and somewhat annoying WordPress quirk, the post that I published last Tuesday (21 February) is showing up as being published on Saturday 21 January; so I’m linking to it here — Victorian envy — just in case anyone would like to see it!

With that out of the way, I’ve picked a bunch of bright and colorful flowers that I shot with my compact Fujifilm Finepix AX back in February 2016. I may have blogged them at some point previously but none appear in my WP Media Library; so I’ve dusted them off and made a few light edits for today’s post. All were shot either in/near my neighborhood or while hiking on local trails.

Blireiana Plum blossoms

Narcissus

Camellias

Not a flower, but still pretty — California maidenhair fern

Blue dicks

To me, this Clasping Henbit looks a lot like Mr. Krabbs from Spongebob Squarepants!

Chickweed flower

Hibiscus

I’m still sad that this hibiscus bush was torn out a few years ago

African daisies
