Historic rooftops, Point Arena

I’ve long been interested in 19th century history — a quick look at my bookshelves and decor make that pretty clear. Still, I’ve never been a serious decorator; and while I enjoy adding a few decorative touches suggestive of that era to my personal space, it takes only a brief stay in an authentic old house to remind me — the 1950s-era hardwood floors and imitation oriental rugs will never make my single-story tract house into a victorian! 

I made sure my shoes were clean!
