Summer in the city
It’s not necessary for me to have any particular destination in mind when I visit San Francisco in the summer. It’s often enough to just wander around, keeping my eyes open. I’m always sure to find something that appeals to my camera. I shot most of these images with my Fujifilm point-and-shoot, which is perfect for this sort of street photography. One exception is the photo of the parrots (shot with my Canon Rebel SL2). I was relaxing in my sixth-floor hotel room when I heard squawks and screeches; I looked out to find a trio of wild cherry-headed conures only a few feet away. I was lucky to get a few semi-decent shots on this occasion, but I heard and/or saw flocks of parrots several other times in various places around the city during my stay.
