I was fooling around with an add-on macro lens for my phone; and the rusted metal coils of this old car seat (from a 1969 Pontiac Firebird) drew my attention. A few days later the same old seat looked much better after a bit of cleaning up and some black paint.
It didn’t take long for the springtime high water levels at Folsom Lake to drop, as the runoff from snow diminished and more water was released from the reservoir. I haven’t done as much hiking this summer as I normally do, but it’s still difficult for me to choose my favorite trail experience of the last few months. I always feel so much better just getting out of the house and amongst the trees; and if there’s water nearby, that’s even better. Manzanita wood:
