My entry for Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge this week.
Memory Monday is on a break this week. See you next Monday!
Welcome to Week 100 of Memory Monday! This time I’m going to be very self-absorbed and share a collection of old prints from my childhood that I have up on my office wall. Unfortunately, most of them have faded badly (my fault, I know!), but thanks to my scanner I was able to somewhat restore their colors and preserve them […]
October 1996 — Penstock Bridge, Wenatchee River (I’ve shared some of these images before, but this time I scanned them, and I’m much happier with their quality now.) This was not my first visit to the Wenatchee River outside Leavenworth, but on this trip I had come with my mom on a somewhat epic train journey, and it was my […]
The best thing about our pets is how happy they make us feel, and how good we feel when we know they’re happy. This week I’ve got a very small selection of animal images — because there have been so many wonderful animals in our lives, and some of them live on only in memory, not in photographs.

I really like the photo above because we included our dogs (and my dog, Phoebe, is sitting on my foot). Next week I’ll have a few […]
This week was meant to be my last installment of Memory Monday — but I started digging around in my old photos and found a small stack of extra images I hadn’t yet shared. Other than this week’s bunch of Disneyland photos (most of which were shot by my mom), I can’t really group them by theme other than dogs, […]
This week I’m sharing a few more pictures from visits to San Diego in the early 1980s. I had (and still have) a serious fascination with historic sailing ships, so visiting the full-rigged ship Star of India at the Maritime Museum of San Diego was a serious thrill. Another popular tourist spot was the Point Loma Lighthouse; it’s definitely photogenic, as […]
