Huell got a little more than he bargained for when he went hunting for California’s northeast corner! After exploring a lava tube cave, meeting some wonderful people, and sharing a delicious meal in Alturas, he sets out for a “short” hike to find the corner — and winds up trekking for miles cross-country over rocky lava beds, through thick underbrush, and across a stream. But he gets there in the end!

Huell continues his journey to the far reaches of California as he locates the exact Northeast corner of our state and visits nearby attractions.
