I’ve visited Moat Creek’s beach a handful of times in the past few years but I never seem to get quite enough. It’s beautiful at high tide and a popular surfing spot, but I’m always hoping to get a chance to explore the tide pools — on this occasion they were hidden underwater. The small parking area is roughly two miles south of Point Arena on Highway 2. Even though the tide was up, I was still able to poke around on the small beach and find some cool details, and I had a tough time dragging myself away.
